The Shepherd’s Church Weekday Preschool provides a caring, Christian morning preschool for children age 2 through Pre-K.

Classes fill up quickly for each calendar school year, so don’t delay when our registration opens.
Programs
2-, 3-, and 5-Day Options Available
for Ages 2–5. Transition class available for those turning 4 1/2 by August 31st.
Curriculum
Teachers develop a Christian-based curriculum around various themes and use Alpha Tales to introduce letters and sounds.

Shepherd’s Church Weekday Preschool exists for the purpose of providing an education that exalts Jesus Christ as Lord. We provide a quality education that reaches the child mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually by using a system of values that are consistent with the Bible.

Curriculum
Reading/Writing
Learning alphabet, recognizing letters, spelling their name, fundamentals of how to hold a pencil and more!
Math/Science
Identifying numbers from 1-20, counting, sorting objects, recognizing patterns, observing plants and nature and more!
Art
Fun crafts that utilize motor skills and variety of artistic mediums like crayons, paint, markers, glue and more!
Bible
Learn about famous Bible stories like David and Goliath, Jonah and the whale, the Christmas story, Easter, and more!
Critical Thinking
Begin critical thinking and problem-solving in a social setting. Practice and reinforce manners, like saying “Please” and “Thank You.”

What is the student-teacher ratio for classes?
Class sizes range from 10 to 16, with one teacher and assistant teacher.
Is there a school calendar that you follow?
We loosely follow Wake County Public School’s calendar, and take off annually for a Pastor’s Conference in the fall.
Do children need to be potty trained?
Children need to be potty trained before beginning the 3, 4, and 5-year-old classes.
