A Next Step of Faith
Beloved,
I’m excited to announce the beginning of our “next step of faith” as a church family.
Below are some drawings and some concepts, but keep in mind that the ink isn’t dry. There’s still a lot of work being done and we anticipate at least 6 more months of strategic planning for detailed ministry needs.
What we do know is that this project is a big one. It will complete the master plan of this campus, addressing all of our current needs, as well as expansion needs from additional growth.
Needs that include:
- Expanded parking spaces
- Additional education spaces for children, students, and adults
- Additional nursery space
- Doubling our worship seating
Preliminary Renderings

Level 1 Aerial View
(From Left to Right, Top to Bottom)
Top Left: New Children’s Building
Top Right: New Student Building
Center Purple Area: New Worship Center (which is currently our open-air courtyard)
Green Area: This is a portion of our current courtyard outside, just off the porch of this building. That will be open air still, and we’re thinking of putting playgrounds in there . . . not pickle ball courts (sorry about that!).
As you know, we’re out of ABF spaces; we’re out of children’s spaces; we’re out of nursery spaces; and I know this will surprise you, we’re out of parking spaces. We’re going to address that as well.
Front Entrance
One of the things we’ve never really had on our campus is a front entrance – a place where visitors naturally enter.
This plan will solve that problem, providing a welcoming environment for guests.
We’re creating 200 more parking spaces just beyond this water feature – a reflecting pond – and this entrance will become an inviting front view of our campus from Tryon Road as well.

Lobby Space
This photo provides an initial concept of our lobby. Once inside the front door, there will be ample space for people to move into the Worship Center to the right, or walk from one building to another.
Worship Center
Once inside the worship center, this is a concept drawing of our new auditorium, taken from an existing church in another state. This concept simply shows the scale and arrangement of 2,500 seats.
While many details have yet to be determined, we will mirror this concept by having stadium seating rather than a balcony, so that we’ll effectively remain together when we worship. You can see about 70% of the auditorium from this rendering.

Estimated Costs
These buildings, new parking lots, and all the improvements will cost in the neighborhood of $55 million dollars. While we recognize that this is a large amount, let me encourage you with a little history.
$55
MILLION
Our Beginnings
When our church was meeting in the schoolhouse, around 200 adults voted on our first building project – and it was 6 times our annual budget. That was a great step of faith for us – 6 times our annual budget.
When we outgrew our first building, down Tryon Road, the Lord led us to this property, and we began a building project. The cost was 6 times our annual budget.
Why Not Plant Churches?
Some people might be wondering, “Why didn’t you start other churches?”
We did. So far, we’ve started 24 churches in this region and other states as well.
But planting other churches doesn’t solve space problems.

A New Step of Faith
Today our budget is just over $9 million dollars. Six times that budget is $54 million dollars. We realized this ratio remains the same, after looking at past building programs.
It’s the same ratio that it was 35 years ago in the schoolhouse, and 28 years ago down Tryon, and now, it’s the same step of faith today.
God has honored our steps of faith before – He can certainly do it again.
Call to Action
A Campaign to Reach the Generations & Our Region
We’re calling our building project Generations. We want to reach this generation – we want to reach our region for Christ – and generations to come.
Seventy people are moving into Wake County every single day. And I know that, because they all seem to be on Holly Springs Road!
Let’s make room for the congregation the Lord has brought us – and let’s continue reaching our community for Christ.

Prayer & Giving
We’d like to prayerfully consider giving as much as we can through the end of this year – over and above our normal giving. Even though the plans are still being developed, we already know that this will take all of us — sacrificing, praying, stretching, giving ‚ for this generation, and generations to come.
No pledging will take place in the near future — just gifts to help launch the needs of this campaign — let’s get this off the ground.
More information will be provided in the coming months.
