Several times throughout the year we offer various all-church local outreach initiatives to help meet needs within our community.  We invite you to join with us in helping to make a difference!

Four times a year, Shepherd’s hosts our “Bumper Crop” food drive that helps to stock the shelves for local partner, With Love from Jesus—an evangelical outreach ministry that seeks to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of individuals in need within our community.  You’re invited to participate with us in this effort.

Every November we help collect new toys, books, and stuffed animals for our global partner Child Evangelism Fellowship, who distributes the gifts to families in need right here in the Triangle area.  Most importantly, they also share the gospel presentation at a puppet show and storytime for the kids.  The collection runs through the month of November and you can drop off donations in the lobby or in the Children’s Center.

Each holiday season we collect gift cards to support and encourage those individuals and families within our own church body who need some assistance at Christmas.  Preferred cards include Target, Walmart, Grocery Stores, and gas.  Cards can be dropped off at the church office during normal business hours, or on Sundays in the Giving Boxes in the Worship Center.

ESL Class Group

ESL (English as a Second Language)

Free ESL classes are offered on Friday mornings during the school year. This program offers beginner to advanced levels. Emphasis is on conversation with English speakers. Free childcare for newborn-preschoolers is provided for parents who attend the program.

Disciple-Making Training

Periodic classes and workshops will equip you to effectively share your faith, understand how to witness to people of other religions, and develop an apologetic defense of the Christian faith.
