We send teams on short-term trips to impact both the participants and the host communities in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. But we also invite individuals to join our quarterly prayer teams to pray about upcoming trips, participants, logistics, etc.  Prayerfully consider where you’ll go and how you’d like participate! New trips will be added year-round, so please check back frequently. Details will be updated as they become available.

Join the Carpenters for Christ as they travel to Uganda at the request of Shepherd’s Global Partner, 7 Billion Reasons, to rebuild a roof on the assembly hall of Global Leadership School. Application is now closed for this trip.

This team will be hosting a conference for a church in the Middle East. No additional information will be published as a matter of security. Please pray for them!

February 15-25, 2024  |  Ages 18+

(Must be maturing believer, seeking to be trained and to explore living cross-culturally.
Hepatitis A and Typhoid vaccinations are required to enter the country.)

Join this small team of men as they travel to Bangladesh to partner with Global Staff to encourage Bengali Christians, many of whom are first generation believers. Additionally, this group will partner with the local church to host a soccer tournament with the “goal” of sharing the gospel and impacting the community. Canaan Land Camp, a retreat center for Christian Ministry workers, is situated on 3,000 beautiful acres of the North Carolina mountains. The team will work alongside The Shepherd’s Church’s Carpenters for Christ to renovate cabins and help get the center ready for the upcoming season. Application is now closed.

Join this team of high schoolers and Carpenters for Christ as they assist a Shepherd’s church partner in Bryan, Texas. The team will build a Children’s area, distribute flyers, and host an outreach-block party. Application is now closed.

July 14-19, 2024  |  Open to All Ages

(Must have parent present if under age 18.)

You will be an encouragement to our church plant, Cornerstone Baptist Church of Fayetteville, as you plan and run a VBS outreach effort to this densely populated area of Fayetteville. In addition, this team will work alongside Shepherd’s Carpenters for Christ to continue renovations on the church and school buildings. No construction experience is needed! The team will lodge in an indoor “Tent City” in the Cornerstone gym. Application is now closed.

September 20-30, 2024 |  Ages 19+

Join Shepherd’s Balkans Global Workers as they reach their community with three projects. The team will assist with a conversational English class, help with tutoring at a local K-12 school, and do manual labor at a community center for people of all ages with special needs.

The El Salvador team will be assisting Lorraine McNeill with Hannah’s Hands Ministry.  Lorraine ministers to the poor in and around San Salvador with Bible clubs for children, Bible studies, and medical clinics.  The agenda for this trip will be finalized based on the talents and gifts of the team members God calls.  We will be doing a VBS program in a local community. There is also a possibility of doing a medical clinic if we have team members with a medical background. If team members have carpenter skills, the team will assist with some projects at the mission house.  There is lots to do in El Salvador! Pray, apply, and watch God work in and through you!

December 3-13, 2024  |  Ages 18+

Bring encouragement to our Global Staff, the Kittredges, the Hillners, and Maya Clark, as the team works alongside Shepherd’s Carpenters for Christ to build a cottage on the new campus of Coram Deo Liberia.  The team will be blessed to interact with Liberian workers, and learn from the American families serving the Lord cross-culturally.

December TBD, 2024  |  Women Only, Ages 18+

This team of women will work alongside our Detroit partner church to engage with the international women now living in that area. The team will host two large Christmas parties, and help a church-member advance the goals of her local business outreach to the community.  It will be an amazing time of training and serving!

October – December, 2024  |  Ages 15+

Are you wondering how to use your love of basketball to serve The Lord? Contact the Mobilization Office for a basketball internship based in London. The time-commitment can be 3-12 months. Let us know how God is nudging you!

Pending permit approval, The Shepherd’s Church will be sending a team of volunteers to a new archaeological site in the Middle East. Don’t worry about archaeology credentials. We will have 8-10 training meetings prior to departure where you will be taught all you need to know. We will update this information as we receive confirmation on our paperwork and permits.

Every year we try to make the holidays extra special for our Global Staff and Partners who are serving all around the world by donating toward this annual collection. A table will be set up in our lobby starting in late-August through September, where you can pick out a card for a global worker that shares where they are serving and their gift request. This is a great opportunity to participate as a family, with your ABF, or individually.  

Help a child in Russia see the light of Christ at Christmas by donating toward this annual outreach ministry. Your gift of $25 provides a Bible, an outfit of clothing, candy, fruit and a toy for children in Russian-speaking countries. This collection typically takes place in October.
