CARE GIVING

It’s our desire to share the love of Christ through various support groups, Acts 6 Ministry to Widows, benevolence funds, homebound visitation, freezer meals, funeral and memorial services, nursing home services and more.

ACTS 6 MINISTRY TO WIDOWS

The Acts 6 Ministry exists to serve widows in our church body and was founded on the biblical principle outlined in Acts 6 to oversee their care.

NURSING HOME SERVICES

Weekly or monthly services are held at local nursing homes. Contact Kelley Carroll to connect with a group leader for Brookdale MacArther Park or Cary Health and Rehab.

FREEZER MEAL MINISTRY

Our freezer meal ministry provides meals to families who are in need in our fellowship. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Kelley Carroll.

BENEVOLENCE

Shepherd’s Church attendees and people in the local community may apply for emergency short-term financial assistance. Priority is given to requests from those in our church, but all requests are considered. Contact the Care Ministry office at 919-233-9100.

HOMEBOUND VISITATION

If you would like to be a part of the Homebound Visitation Team or know of someone who would like a visit, please contact the Care Ministry office at 919-233-9100 or email Melissa Dement.

FUNERAL/MEMORIAL SERVICES

Losing a loved one is never easy. Making arrangements for a funeral or memorial service can be confusing and daunting. We are happy to help. Please call 919-390-1105 or email CareMinistry@shepherds.org to notify Care Ministry of a death in your family or if you want to coordinate a funeral or memorial service for your loved one at our church.
