We send teams on short-term trips to impact both the participants and the host communities in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. But we also invite individuals to join our quarterly prayer teams to pray about upcoming trips, participants, logistics, etc.  Prayerfully consider where you’ll go and how you’d like participate! New trips will be added year-round, so please check back frequently. Details will be updated as they become available.

June TBD, 2025  |  Ages 14-18 (with adult chaperones)

Join this team of high schoolers and chaperones as they assist Shepherd’s Global Partner, Miss Jane and Friends. The team will use “Filters of Hope” to share the gospel and provide clean water in this impoverished area of Dominican Republic.

Mid-June 2025 |  Ages 18+

(Must be a maturing believer. Young adults under 18 must be joined by a parent.)

This team from The Shepherd’s Church will engage in community outreach through supporting a summer session of English classes for children and hosting a VBS in partnership with local churches. Be prepared to interact with young students and children throughout the day as well as create gospel centered conversations.

This team of people from Shepherd’s will commit to meet weekly to pray for the specific needs and praises of each Impact Team. This team will maintain direct contact with the Trip Directors, trip participants, and Mobilization for three months of dedicated prayer, April-June, 2025.

Assist one of Shepherd’s newest Global Partners in the region as they seek to reach their community for Christ. This team will host an after-school program in a local Middle School, and help spruce up some areas within the school.

(Must have parent present if under age 18.)

You will be an encouragement to our church plant, Cornerstone Baptist Church of Fayetteville, as you plan and run a VBS outreach effort to this densely populated area of Fayetteville. In addition, this team will work alongside Shepherd’s Carpenters for Christ to continue renovations on the church and school buildings. No construction experience is needed! The team will lodge in an indoor “Tent City” in the Cornerstone gym.

July – September, 2025  |  Ages 15+

This team of people from Shepherd’s will commit to meet weekly to pray for the specific needs and praises of each Impact Team. This team will maintain direct contact with the Trip Directors, trip participants, and Mobilization for three months of dedicated prayer, July-Sept.

A team from Shepherd’s will head to Sofia, Bulgaria to assist our global partner in that area with various ministry projects.

This team of women will work alongside our Detroit area partner church to reach out to the women and children of the local refugee community. It will be an intense time of training and serving! The skills you learn in Detroit will equip you to apply the same outreach methods right where you are.

The El Salvador team will be assisting Lorraine McNeill with Hannah’s Hands Ministry.  Lorraine ministers to the poor in and around San Salvador with Bible clubs for children, Bible studies, and medical clinics.  The agenda for this trip will be finalized based on the talents and gifts of the team members God calls.  We will be doing a VBS program in a local community. There is also a possibility of doing a medical clinic if we have team members with a medical background. If team members have carpenter skills, the team will assist with some projects at the mission house.  There is lots to do in El Salvador!

Be an encouragement as this team works alongside our Global Staff, the Kittredges and Maya Clark. The team will be blessed to interact with Liberian workers and learn from the American families serving the Lord cross-culturally.

Every year we try to make the holidays extra special for our Global Staff and Partners who are serving all around the world by donating toward this annual collection. A table will be set up in our lobby September 1–29, where you can pick out a card for a global worker that shares where they are serving and their gift request. Drop off gifts by September 29. Help a child in Russia see the light of Christ at Christmas by donating toward this annual outreach ministry. Your gift of $25 provides a Bible, an outfit of clothing, candy, fruit and a toy for children in Russian-speaking countries. This collection typically takes place in October.
