Christ is greater than any angel, priest, or old covenant institution. 

No other book in the New Testament integrates the gospel with the Old Testament better than the book of Hebrews. The author insists that Jesus is greater than the prophets, angels, Moses, and the Levitical priests. In fact, all the ceremonies, sacrifices, and offices of the Old Testament point to the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Considering so great a salvation, our challenge is to run the race before us in faithfulness and perseverance. We hold fast, by faith, to the true rest found in Christ.
